Exness, a leading fintech company in the CFD trading area, is looking to hire a Software engineer with a focus on databases and DevOps methodologies to join our team of data engineers in Limassol, Cyprus. Remote workers are appreciated as well.


Responsibilities:

Together with the team, you will work on the development and evolution of a complex multi-purpose data platform that includes data acquisition from sources,  data processing and aggregation services, and automated interfaces to the platform.  

We are expecting you to extend our team with deep expertise in DevOps, good knowledge in database management, and being part of a product team to work closely on research, development of a new product features, hypothesis testing, quality improvements, identifying and solving performance issues specifically with databases - their scaling, sharding, partitioning, query optimization etc.

 

Our technology stack:

  • Backend: Java, Go;
  • ETL: Clickhouse as a current main, MongoDB/Postgres as a new additional OLTP;
  • IT infra: on-premise Kubernetes (we also considering the hybrid cloud-based infrastructure and welcome you to join us in this decision making); 
  • VCS/CICD: Gitlab, Teamcity.

 

Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of CI/CD tools and approaches;
  • Experience in declarative infrastructure as code, using tools like Terraform;
  • Knowledge of RDBMS operations and administration;
  • Knowledge of NoSQL paradigm and stack (we prefer  MongoDB);
  • Knowledge of large database design;
  • Experience with RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka.


Will be a plus:

  • Software development experience (we prefer: Java, Go, or Python) at least 1 year;
  • We like AWS so working knowledge of Cloud Database technologies like AWS RDS, AWS Aurora, AWS Redshift will be highly appreciated.
